It’s hard to believe that in just a few days our son will be seven weeks old. The time goes by so quickly.
Along the way, like so many other parents, we’ve taken lots of photos. Lots and lots of photos.
As I flip through the many photos on my phone, there are three that bring a big smile to my face.
He was around one month old we were sitting on the couch — he was asleep on my chest. As we sat there I had a bit of a, “Ok, what do I do now?” kind of moment.
It seemed the only logical thing to do was take selfies. And I’m not a selfie kind of guy.
So I pulled out my phone and started snapping photos. I’ll share three of them with you below.
Things started off pretty normal.
But I tend to be a pretty goofy guy and things like this started happening.
When I saw how my son was sleeping I decided to mimic his face and snapped this photo.
One reason these photos standout so much is that they capture one of our earliest alone times together. I think it was also my first, “I’m a dad and can be goofy with my son!” moment.
It’s a great memory and I’m happy to have the photos to look back on years from now.
And yes, I’m serious. The last photo was a selfie.
